For my wedding gallery, I’ve opted to include slideshows as an additional viewing mechanism. Why? Well, for me, no matter how beautiful the image, I enjoy having the story unfold before me, rather than click click click through images in a static fashion. A wedding is a story, and viewing wedding images where the story unfolds versus one-image-at-a-time is the difference between sifting through a rack of dresses and watching a runway show. You see the dress on a hanger, or, you see it in motion, on human form before you, it has relevance.
I’ve posted a gallery of individual images to peruse, and three slideshows.
The gallery is a collection of varying styles, some of my clients have specifically asked me to create something unique, an artsy feel that is not a typical wedding image, while others prefer more of a traditional process.
Two of the shows are weddings, and one are proofs from an engagement session. In the engagement session show, there is one image (towards the end) that has had minimal editing, and two images that have been converted to black and white, the remainder of the images are straight from the camera. I’m not afraid to show my “before” images. I think it’s very important to see untouched work, this gives a much better impression of how the final work will be.
When I work, I strive for perfection in the camera, as a professional should, I do not operate with the “fix it in photoshop” mindset – which is the mindset of a photographer lacking in appropriate skills. I will, however, use photoshop as an artist.
Thanks for viewing, and I look forward to visiting with you soon!
